About Elite Pay

Freedom Over Fear

Elite Pay pairs modern point-of-sale with something rarer in payments: a person who keeps showing up after the install. We believe recurring revenue should change what work means — for the family-run businesses we serve and for the agents we train.

That's why the promise reads the way it does: no contracts, no leases, no gotchas — straight answers on savings, fees, and equipment, installs led in person, and problems that get seen, owned, and resolved.

Pricing

0% processing. Yes, really.

Most Elite Pay merchants eliminate their processing fees with dual pricing. Prefer to absorb the cost yourself? Interchange-plus keeps it transparent. Either way: no long-term contracts and no junk fees buried in the fine print.

Two ways to price

0% processing is the headline. Interchange-plus is the backup.

Most Elite Pay merchants choose dual pricing and eliminate their processing fees entirely. If you'd rather absorb the cost, interchange-plus shows you every slice of it.

Most popular Dual Pricing / Cash Discount

Dual Pricing

Your customers choose. You keep the full ticket.

Every item shows two prices — one for cash, a slightly higher one for card. Customers who pay by card cover the processing cost, so the money that used to go to fees stays with you.

1

We set up your pricing program

Your POS displays both prices automatically and prints receipts that show the cash price and the card price side by side.

2

The customer decides at checkout

Cash pays the lower price; card pays the small adjustment that covers processing.

3

You net the full amount

Your effective processing cost drops to essentially zero — funded next business day.

Interchange-Plus

You only pay us the last slice.

Every card payment has three parts. The first two — interchange and assessments — are fixed and go to the banks and card networks. With interchange-plus, our markup is the small, transparent third slice, and it never changes without you knowing.

No tiers, no "qualified vs. non-qualified" mystery buckets — just wholesale cost plus a flat rate you can audit line by line.

Questions

Pricing, answered plainly.

Is dual pricing allowed?
Dual pricing allows businesses to display separate cash and card prices. Elite Pay provides merchants with the resources and guidance needed to properly implement their selected pricing program.
Are there any long-term contracts?
No. Every Elite Pay account is month-to-month. You stay because the pricing and support work — not because you're locked in.
What does it cost to switch?
Nothing upfront for qualifying businesses. Process $15,000+ per month and your hardware can be on us. Accounts requiring multiple pieces of equipment will be evaluated based on processing volume and hardware needs.
Can I change models later?
Anytime. Because there's no contract, you can move between dual pricing and interchange-plus whenever it makes sense for your business.

Questions

POS, answered plainly.

How much does the hardware cost?
It depends on the system and how you sell. Nothing upfront for qualifying businesses — process $15,000+ per month and your hardware can be on us. Accounts that need several pieces of equipment are evaluated on processing volume and hardware needs. Your rep puts real numbers in front of you during a free consult.
Which system should I pick?
Start with how you sell. Full-service dining leans Figure or Clover; bars lean Union; boutiques and independent retail lean Material; grocery, markets, and delis lean OctoPOS; quick service and general retail lean Square or Clover; trades and mobile businesses lean SwipeSimple; and a shop that just needs to take cards leans a Dejavoo terminal. Your rep will walk your floor (or your truck) and recommend one.
Can I use dual pricing on any of these?
Yes. Dual pricing works on every system we place, and we give you the guidance on setting up the signage, pricing display, and receipts so your effective processing cost drops to essentially zero. If you want to handle tip adjusting manually, the merchant pays the processing fee on those tip amounts.
Will you move my current menu or inventory over?
We do. Part of the install is loading your menu or product catalog, tax settings, and staff logins so you're ready to sell on day one.

Questions

Before you apply.

Do I need payments experience?
No. Onboarding is videos, training modules, and in-person training — covering everything from reading a statement to handling objections — and your first deals get hands-on backup. Hustle and follow-through matter more than a resume.
How do I get paid?
Monthly residuals on every merchant in your portfolio, for as long as they process with us. There's no quick-commission model here — you build once and get paid every month. Your split grows as you grow, is never capped based on production, and never drops once you graduate from training. Exact splits are covered on your intro call.
What does it cost to join?
Nothing. No desk fees, no kit to buy. You're an independent 1099 agent — you invest your time, we invest the tools.
Is this full-time or side income?
Either. Some agents build a full-time book; others board a couple of merchants a month around another job. Residuals compound either way.
Who will I be selling to?
Our core lane is owner-operated restaurants — Mexican, pizza & Italian, breakfast & family spots — where relationships matter more than rate sheets. The Playbook and training are built around that field game, and the same system works in retail, trades, and beyond.

Our Story

Three generations of recipes.

Casa Verde started as a single food truck on Central Avenue, run by our grandmother with nothing but a comal, a cooler, and recipes she carried from Jalisco. The line down the block told us we were onto something.

Today we still press every tortilla by hand and simmer our birria overnight — because shortcuts taste like shortcuts. Come hungry, leave family.

Resources

Chargeback management.

What chargebacks are, how to prevent them, and exactly what to do when one lands.

What a chargeback actually is

A cardholder disputes a charge with their bank, and the money comes out of your account while the card network investigates. You get a window — usually 20 to 45 days depending on the network — to submit evidence and fight it. Ignore the notice and you lose by default, plus a chargeback fee.

Prevent them before they happen

Most chargebacks are preventable. Use a clear billing descriptor so customers recognize the charge on their statement. Get signatures or chip-and-PIN on card-present sales. Post your refund policy where customers can see it — on the receipt, at the register, on your website. Respond to refund requests fast: a $40 refund beats a $40 chargeback plus a $25 fee and a mark on your account, every time. And keep receipts, signed tickets, and delivery confirmations for at least 18 months.

When one lands anyway: your response checklist

1) Note the deadline on the notice — it is unforgiving. 2) Pull your evidence: the signed receipt or EMV record, invoices, delivery or pickup confirmation, any texts or emails with the customer. 3) Write a short cover note: what was sold, when, to whom, and why the charge is valid. 4) Submit everything before the deadline through your processing portal. 5) If the customer is actually right — refund it and move on. Fighting a losing dispute costs more than the sale.

Watch your ratio

Card networks flag merchants whose chargeback ratio passes roughly 0.9% of transactions. Getting flagged means fines and monitoring programs, and in bad cases a terminated account. If you're seeing more than a couple of disputes a month, don't wait — that's a process problem we can usually fix.

Fighting a chargeback right now? Call your rep — we've written a lot of winning responses.

PCI compliance, made simple.

The card industry's security rules in plain English — and how to never pay a non-compliance fee.

What PCI is, in one paragraph

PCI DSS is the card industry's security standard — the rules every business that touches card data agrees to follow. It isn't a law and it isn't optional; it comes with your merchant agreement. For most local businesses, staying compliant means using secure, up-to-date equipment and answering a yearly questionnaire honestly.

What it means for a business like yours

If you run a modern terminal or POS — like the hardware we place — card data is encrypted the moment the card taps or dips, and you never store a card number anywhere. That puts most of our merchants in the simplest compliance categories, where the whole exercise is a short self-assessment questionnaire (an SAQ) once a year.

The yearly routine

Once a year you'll complete the SAQ through the processor's compliance portal — 15 to 30 minutes for a typical shop. Some setups also need a quarterly automated scan, which the portal runs for you. Do that, and you're compliant. Skip it, and most processors add a monthly non-compliance fee ($20–$40, forever) until it's done. It's the easiest fee in the industry to avoid.

The rules of thumb that keep you safe

Never write card numbers on paper or store them in a spreadsheet. Never take card numbers by email or text. Change default passwords on anything connected to your POS. Keep your terminal software updated — ours update automatically. If it feels sketchy, it's non-compliant: when in doubt, ask your rep.

How Elite Pay helps

We'll provide the phone number and login information you need to complete PCI compliance. Every merchant starts on hardware that's compliant out of the box, and your rep is the person to call with the “is this okay?” questions all year.

Paying a PCI non-compliance fee right now? Bring us your statement — that's usually the first thing we erase.

Privacy Policy

The short version: we collect only what you send us, we use it to respond to you, and we never sell it.

What we collect

When you contact us or apply to the agent program, we receive the information you choose to send — typically your name, business name, phone number, email, and your message. This site does not run advertising trackers and does not use cookies to profile you.

How we use it

To respond to your inquiry, review your application, provide a rate review you requested, and service your account if you become a merchant or agent. That's it.

What we don't do

We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run our business (for example, the payment processor that underwrites a merchant account you apply for) or when the law requires it.

This site is informational

Content here describes services Elite Pay offers. It isn't a contract, a rate quote, or financial advice. Savings examples and calculator estimates are illustrative — your actual numbers come from a written proposal based on your statement and the current approved program.

Merchant & agent agreements control

Processing services, equipment placement, and agent compensation are governed by the signed agreements for those programs, not by this website. Pricing programs (including dual pricing and cash discount) follow current card-network rules and the approved program in your agreement.
